UCF Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN

Is anyone else applying to the Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN cohort at the University of Central Florida? It seems like it is taking forever for the actual application to open up (January 1).

Hoping to see some other folks just as excited as I am!!

I didn't apply for the scholarship but I've heard that if you're invited for an interview you have a really great chance of being accepted! Best of luck to everyone who was invited to interview, that's awesome!!

That is correct. An interview for the scholarship most likely means you are in. That would be a waste of time otherwise. They used to do interviews for actual acceptance into the program but that was a royal pain for the admin, so now they just do interviews for potential scholarship recipients.

Thanks Lanntis. Now March 8th is coming and I'm feeling kind of nervous..

One more thing, I keep receiving the orientation registration emails from UCF. I saw that we are required to do the orientation. But the thing is that.. since the results are not coming out yet, will it be too late for us to register the orientation after the results come out? We are considered transfer students right if we get addmited? I noticed that they dont have many days available for the orientation. Thanks.

I called and asked about orientation a few weeks ago. We attend a different one and don't sign up until we are accepted! So no worries for now. Best of luck to everyone, the day is quickly approaching!! :)

Acceptance letters for the nursing program or for the interview??? I thought we're supposed to find out on Thursday if we got in?

That's weird, I interviewed today and was told we'd have acceptance letters as well as reward letters (if applicable) this week. Anyyyy day now!

Can someone confirm that it's not next week? I have to let UF know by Friday so Thursday was really cutting it close!

Lanntis was pretty confident that its the 8th so that's what I'm going with. If I have to wait any longer I'll probably explode lol

I had the interview today and spoke with the faculty. they said they are releasing acceptance letters for the program next week. Charlene herself said she is sending letters out next week. Its possible I misunderstood but that is what I was told this morning.
