UCF Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN
Its an invite to interview for the scholarship. From my understanding, based off the essay, scores and resume, they invite the applicants they like most to interview for either full or half tuition scholarships. In case anyone was wondering what my stats looked like I had a 3.56 GPA, 4.0 Prerequistes, and 92.7 Teas.

UCF Summer 2018 Second Degree BSN
Wow everyone's stats seem incredible. Im pretty nervous my stats are: GPA 3.56 Teas 92.7 All Pre-reqs 4.0 Im also pretty nervous about their scholarship. Supposedly they awarded 17 half and full tuition scholarships last year. I wonder how many they'll award this year and if they weigh some scores more heavily than others.

Hey guys so I am applying to this program for the spring 2018 year. I was wondering if you guys could estimate how many hours a week you all need to study to be successful and if 10-15 hours of working is reasonable?

Nurse Corps Scholarship 2017-2018
This is off their PDF. Tiers are strictly based on EFC. If your EFC is below 5000 you are in the first funding preference. If you look at the statistics they've released for previous years on who was awarded the applications, 50% of the awards went to NP programs, 30% went to public health programs and 20% went to RN programs. I may be off a little on the numbers but I remember 2016 had 257 awards and only like 56 or something were for registered nurse programs. Funding Preferences There is a funding preference for applicants of greatest financial need. An applicant's financial need is determined based on the applicant's Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which is provided on the Official Student Aid Report (SAR) generated through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants with an EFC between $0 and $5,550 will be considered as having the greatest financial need. Among qualified applicants with the greatest financial need (i.e. applicants with an EFC between $0 and $5,550): (1) First Funding Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited diploma, undergraduate nursing program or graduate level nurse practitioner program as full-time students. (2) Second Funding Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited graduate nursing program for Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, programs for certified nurse midwives, certified registered nurse anesthetists, or clinical nurse specialists as full-time students. (3) Third Funding Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited diploma, undergraduate or graduate nursing program as part-time students. To the extent that funds remain available, all other applicants will be considered in the order of decreasing financial need.

Does anyone know if financial need is solely calculated by EFC? For example, assuming all things are equal between two candidates but one is going to a private school that cost 50k a year and the other is going to a school that costs 10k will they assume greater financial need to the candidate of the private school?
