Ucf/ssc concurrent nursing program spring 16

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello, all! I couldn't find any posts on here for anyone applying to the UCF/SSC Concurrent Nursing Program Spring 2016, so I decided to start one myself. I'm currently a UCF student and don't know anyone else applying to this particular semester. Hopefully another eager applicant finds this post so that I know I'm not the only one waiting for decisions!!

I think a part-time job would not be too bad. I've heard from a couple people in the program that the program itself is a huge commitment though! Do any of you know how financial aid is going to work? It's a really awkward position since we're starting in the Spring and not the fall. I added SSC to my FAFSA, but I'm not really sure how to go about changing my school for Bright Futures.

good luck everyone! i know how nerve wrecking the waiting can be. :dead: I had a 3.3 GPA and a 79.4 on my TEAS and I got in on my first try. You all will be fine!

I applied for the SSC/UCF concurrent program as well. My TEAS is a 78.7 and my recalculated prerequisite GPA is a 3.6. I'm so nervous! It seems like I've already been waiting a long time to know if I will be accepted or not.

The days are going by so slowly! I just want to know already. Did anyone turn their application to the Altamonte Springs location? I was wondering if we could have an idea of how many people applied. My friend turned hers in at the Oviedo campus on the last day and said she was number 24.

I turned mine in at the Altamonte campus, but it was on the first day. I didn't notice what number I was but I was probably around 10 or so.

I turned my application in at the Altamonte Springs campus, but I am not sure how many people applied. I turned mine in on the first day. I hope these weeks go by fast!

My application just changed from "under review" to "eligible." I was worried about it too, but I emailed a nursing advisor at UCF and she told me it takes a couple of weeks to get everything verified. Don't worry. :)

I turned mine in at Sanford lake Mary and I was number 1 lol that was also on the first day

I wish decisions came out earlier! The next 6-8 weeks will be torture.

Depending on my FAFSA, not sure if I can afford taking a whole semester off (without loans, anyways) so of course I'm hoping I can get some aid and that will help some! I would be looking at maybe 10-15 hours a week tops. Just so Im not totally broke. Lol. Also I turned my application in at the Oviedo campus on the first day at noon & I was #3. Was kinda shocked I was only 3, I thought people would be lining up at the door to turn in their apps! Lol surprised someone was only #24 on the last day, I guess that just ups the chances for the rest of us! :)

Were you really? I was #4 at Oviedo on the first day! We probably crossed paths or something! How funny. Yeah, I'm a little happy that the concurrent program is a lot more affordable than the traditional UCF BSN program.

Oh wow that's funny haha. Well hopefully we will be crossing paths again soon if we are both accepted!
