UCF Fall 2012

Hi! I just wanted to start a thread for everyone that is applying for UCF's BSN program which will begin this Fall, 2012. I think this would be a great place for everyone to share their concerns, nerves about waiting, or questions. :)

So, how is everyone? Which campus are you applying to?

aw man! well I am keeping my fingers crossed! do you know if we will be contacted by e-mail or by phone if we do get accepted? and how late into the summer can we find out?

I forgot to ask that ! I would think it would be in the email since thats how they told everyone there status but I would much rather a phone call. They will let students on the waiting list into the program until 2 weeks before classes starts if there are available seat.

Does anyone have any news about the VCC/UCF concurrent program for this fall (2012)?? I called the CON at UCF and they said hopefully this friday. The wait is KILLING me :)

mattborlando - Thanks for posting info about the delay with the VC/UCF concurrent program. I applied back in March so if they tell us tomorrow it will be a huge weight lifted. Hope you get good news soon!

yeah... I heard they would tell us thru e-mail... still waiting!!! :( and I called the CON but the lady who answers is no help at all and she was very rude to me...

I emailed Alton monday and asked, and he said should be this friday or early next week if not friday.

Well Friday passed and I didn't hear anything. Did anyone else hear anything yet??

I suggest that you finish all your prereqs before applying to any program. Getting into nursing is hard and very competitive! I finished my prereqs Fall 2010 got denied for Spring 2012 and for Fall 2012 I was waitlisted and finally accepted. I waited for a year and a half and spent countless nights without sleeping because I was very worried about my future. Some times I even asked myself if I had made the right choice... I had a 4.00 on the prereqs and a 76.7 on the TEAS V. The most important apect is when you finished your prereqs, for if you finished this year and you apply for next year along with someone who finished a semester before you, they will pick whoever finished first! TEAS and GPA only matter when you compete with eople that finished their prereqs on the same semester...I applied for Generic Track with SSC...

Hey all I just got an Email Stating I was waitlisted for the Valencia-UCF concurrent program for Fall 12!

I plan on calling to see what spot I am!

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got the email this evening. Accepted into the fall VCC/UCF concurrent program!!!WOOHOO!!!! Now to find a fax machine to send this back!

I was waitlisted - sent my acceptance. Does UCF frown on people calling to find out where they are on the waitlist?
