Hello :) I think it's great that you want to volunteer. I also volunteered while waiting for my program to start. It was a wonderful experience! I had to call a couple of hospitals before I found one with an active program. The first one was closest to my home but they never answered the phone. I left messages, they didn't call back. The second one was about 15 minutes away but didn't need anyone. The last one I left a message with called me right back. It was a 40 minute drive but worth the extra time. I learned so much and met many great people. The Volunteer manager was always available and allowed us to volunteer in different units. Definitely keep looking if you don't think they are going to contact you. Good luck on your search!

julierain - If you are getting the info in a week, you'll have time to get things done. The immunizations are mmr, hep b, tdap, and varicella, or the titers. Also will need flu shot. I'm so happy to hear we can choose Osceola campus because I live in St. Cloud too. tcamp - Good luck next week :)

@julierain - I heard back from Valencia. If you haven't yet, email the nursing advisor right away. They send you a lot of information regarding orientation, background check, immunizations, etc.

julierain - The UCF advisor told me to email the Valencia advisor about the orientation on the 20th since I haven't received the info yet either. Hoping to hear back from her soon.

Hi Anxious101,I'm still in the process of finishing one prerequisite (stats). As long as you have finished 7 of the 8, you can apply. You just have to send them your final transcript before the program starts.

Where and what time is the orientation on the 20th?

mattb and julierain - congrats to you both on your acceptances! I also sent in my MoA and know about the UCF orientation, but have not gotten an email from Valencia yet. Did you have to email the advisor at Valencia to get the orientation info? julierain - at the information session they gave us an info packet that says we need to accept financial aid only at Valencia, since we can't receive it from two institutions. enjoy the rest of your summer!

mattborlando - Thanks for posting info about the delay with the VC/UCF concurrent program. I applied back in March so if they tell us tomorrow it will be a huge weight lifted. Hope you get good news soon!
