Wow - you ladies are very, very judgmental and correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you all could be spending the next two years together? Perhaps a a little less candidate bashing is in order on this blog. The people you are talking about are reading this and are being hurt by what you are saying. Not a very good representation of a UCF nursing candidate if you ask me. Let's be nice, people do pay attention to this blog.

This is an anonymous blog and we are entitled to our opinions.... I'm sorry if you or anyone else's feelings are hurt. We are just expressing what we think of other candidates. I'm sure some of them have not so nice things to say about us too.....

May I also add... Whatever is being said or discussed here is nowhere near as abrasive as what any of us would encounter from patients& families in the real world as a nurse :two cents:

Actually, not bashing whatsoever. If you read closely, a lot of us are saying how it is very hard competition this year. Also, i have said a number of times how i think i had some very strong candidates in my interview group. I do not have anything negative to say towards anybody else in regards of their performances or grades. Merely, that SOME people do not know how serious of a program this is if they are coming under dressed. I would never talk negative about anybody that is in the same standing at me. Thank you

:/ I dont know if you were talking to Mamakate, or myself, or both of us, or maybe some other specific people writing on this board. But i am offended that i am considered judgmental, and that i would not make a good representative as a UCF nurse because i stated that basically it was weird that some girl showed up looking like she was dressed for the club, to a HIGHLY competitive nursing program. All i meant was, she obviously doesnt know how serious this program is, and she probably in fact found out, when she sat next to all the other applicants, since most of them were dressed in suits.

I feel like its disrespectful to the program and those in charge to show up dressed unprofessionally. The point of the interviews was to weed out those who were not personable or professional and those who may not want it as much as others and who may drop out. I don't think its bashing to talk about what the college of nursing is looking for in candidates and who may not have met those standards.

My apologies if something I said offended anyone. I do not believe I did say anything that was inappropriate. I'm sure most of us are scared and just trying to ease their minds. I don't believe it was intentional.
