UCF 2013 Fall-Orlando generic BSN applicants?

Published

Starting a thread for others applying to this program!

Also I feel that it is coming from the fact we are being judged by our appearance too. How clean we look, what we wore, they even said in the 130 slot to pull the shirts up and dresses down so we looked appropriate

i apologize too guys, i do not think i said anything bad. you all know you are very strong candidates, and we are all in the same boat!! i feel like we are all here to cheer each other on.. we all have been helping one another out, between the interview, and scores, and opinions about the program altogether!

All of us are scared and anxious for the final decisions. It's not like we're out to hurt feelings intentionally be mean. I don't think anything stated on this forum is targeted at any specific people and in no way reflects the UCF program in a bad way.

Well as for stilettos as long as they aren't flashy or four inches high I think you are in the clear, lol, it is very common look for fashionable business women. And you have to keep in mind that it isn't uncommon for people to wear what they have in their closet instead of buying a new outfit for every occasion. So if they made an effort to dress well and didn't show up in sandals that I think that is commendable. If someone is comfortable in stiletto shoes and it gives them confidence then it can't hurt. I do not believe that the interviewers will count someone out on account of a pair of shoes, if they do then maybe it is the nursing program that is unprofessional.

good luck everyone! (:

We all know the interviewers are having the same conversations we are having. Someone is saying I talked too much and was kissing ass! :) I prefer 2 years of honesty than two years of telling people what we think they want to hear! Calling someone judgmental is judgmental! So don't judge, if you think that's a bad representation!

There is some attire that is business appropriate and some attire that is not. At this point I am sure they expect us to know the difference. I did not see the shoes I cannot say but would you agree that not accepting someone who came to an interview in a see-thru dress is going to be unprofessional too? You are judged on appearance. You show up to a nursing job interview like that don't wait for that phone call!

Even in their handbook they are very strict on appearances..... Need to wear all white shoes for clinical with hair pulled back, trimmed and clean nails and no underwear that would show through the pants.... They also want you in business attire when you go to research your patient for care planning

Yes I was told you must either wear business attire or your scrubs when picking up your assignments.

So I'm guessing how you present yourself would hold a large weight in the admission decision

also running on assumption, I think that the next couple of days will be the "committee" days where they tally up scores and add them up to make final selections.... maybe I am completely wrong but that's just what I'm thinking.

I'm stalking myucf & certified profile too for any "signs" and nothing yet...

Hahahaha! I think the next few days they are meeting as well.

I mean, accelerated heard a good week after their interview. We have double the amount of students.. But I think it is a possibility?? Why about you?! I'm hoping Fridays the day!!!
