UCF Fall 2018 - Concurrent

Published

Hello fellow pre- nursing students :geek:!

I am am getting ready to gear up and apply for nursing program at UCF fall 2018! My GPA is not the highest as it is a 3.6. I plan on taking the teas pretty soon. I was wondering what the pool may be like for this upcoming semester. I also plan on applying to SSC and Valencia Concurrent program because the competition is so stiff in central Florida!

Please comment below to suggest any helpful insights, your application process, or if you're applying as well! use this as a support thread.

Hello everyone, I applied and got into the Fall 2018 Daytona Campus 🙌🏾! I'm also waitlisted for Orlando (which was my top choice)! I live in South Florida and will have to make a move. Please comment so I can start meeting u guys!

hello! I applied to both SSC and Valencia Concurrent and UNF for fall of 2018 and am wondering how competitive my scores are in the pool

My overall GPA is 3.2 (switched majors which has hurt me)

My Pre-reqs is 3.75

and my TEAS 79.3

I was told that unlike UNF, which relies heavily on the TEAS score in the first cut, that SSC only considers it as the last factor. Also when I dropped off my packet I was told that SCC will call around the end of May to let applicants know they did not make the class and give them a reason as to why.

Any feed back is appreciated. SCC is my top pick but would go anywhere if accepted. Best Wishes to all of you!

Hi! Your stats are all meeting the minimum and your GPA for your pre-reqs puts you in category 1 so I think you have a good chance at getting into SSC!

Hello !

I applied for the VCC/UCF concurrent program Fall 2018 as well. I was nervous about my prerequisites because I took the at another Florida university. My status is currently green and under review. I'm worried after viewing some of the stats that are posted on here.

Overall GPA: 3.33

Prereq GPA: 3.21

TEAS: 84

Just wondering if anyone one has heard anything regarding the programs. My application still stay pending review for my pre-requ.

My status is currently green and under review. Everything was checked off last Thursday.

My status is currently under review as well! Best of luck to all of you!! Stats were sooo competitive for this application season.

In reference to your comment about Stats being competitive....Did they change the application for this semester? I ask this because when I sat down with my counselor last fall, the format was different. At that time, it was broken down into Science Pre-requisites and Math. In filling out my application for fall of 2018, it did not follow that format. How do you know if the Stats were so competitive for this season? Is that information available to us?

My application finally turned all green last Wednesday. I spoke to the office and they told me that we should know in 4-6 weeks from admission deadline. Just wondering if anyone has any other information. Do they usually wait until the last day? I'd love to chat with someone who has gone through this process. The waiting is nerve wracking. If you are on this site, then you know what I mean. And I am so sincere when I say Good Luck to each of you!!

My status is currently "ELIGIBLE"

My status switched to "Eligible" yesterday! Does that mean I'm either waitlisted or accepted into the program? Or could I still be denied?

That's one of my many questions. Have they started sending out rejection letters to students that are ineligible ?

Hi everyone! My status changed to eligible as well. I believe this means that they are in the process of making decisions out of everyone who has met the the program requirements. Hopefully we will find out soon! Goodluck to everyone :)
