UCF Fall 2018 - Concurrent

Published

Hello fellow pre- nursing students :geek:!

I am am getting ready to gear up and apply for nursing program at UCF fall 2018! My GPA is not the highest as it is a 3.6. I plan on taking the teas pretty soon. I was wondering what the pool may be like for this upcoming semester. I also plan on applying to SSC and Valencia Concurrent program because the competition is so stiff in central Florida!

Please comment below to suggest any helpful insights, your application process, or if you're applying as well! use this as a support thread.

Hey I just looked into this. As I have read so that VCC/UCF concurrent program means you will do both at the same time? That's a giver. Do you know what's the gpa and what scores for TEAS on this program? I have all 8 + prereqs. I hope I can meet the deadline and take my teas soon.

I know that GPA has to be a 3.0 and up. The teas should be 78 or better!

I am hoping for a high score on the TEAS which I'll take by end of this week. With the Concurrent program you'll graduate with an ASN and be able to sit down for NCLEX then take courses from UCF to get your BSN.

I'm applying to the Valencia Concurrent program! I am a transfer student with a 3.8 GPA. I haven't taken the TEAS yet but I don't think the application is due till May so I will probably take it around March.

Hey I'm applying as a transfer to ucf nursing my overall gpa is a 3.64 and my prereq gpa is 3.78 hopefully with my teas score it's enough to get in. I applied to three other florida schools as well

I see that well fall around the same GPA scale but still havent taken the TEAS lol. Are you all scared of the TEAS like I am? I have been prepping but still dont feel prepared. How are you all preparing for the TEAS?

Im using the Teas book as well as HESI book to prep. Lol I'm low key scared but I think I'm going to take it in March as well. I don't stay in neither places but I will move if accepted. Have you'll looked into other programs besides this one? Also, I just noticed I need that Diet class I got Nutrition, but doesn't have that one, that one class would throw me off from applying :-/

Did any of you take that?

Hi! I applied for the SSC/UCF concurrent Summer 2018 start and decisions for me are coming out on Friday (eep!). I just wanted to pop into here and recommend the TEAS mastery app. Its an app (it also has a desktop version if you want to practice on a laptop/computer) that has thousands of questions and topic the TEAS will focus on. To unlock all the questions you have to pay but I definitely recommend it. My only regret was not using the computer version more to get used to taking tests on computers which is my downfall.

I also used the ATI-TEAS secrets book by Mometrix and I recommend that one too because the questions in that book were almost (if not 100%) similar to some of the questions I had on my test.

Good luck to you all!

(My TEAS score ended up to be a 84.7)

Is anyone else here applying to the Cocoa program for Fall? I also applied for the Second Degree BSN but was waitlisted. Hoping I still have a chance.

Sounds great! Best of luck to you! With that score, I would have no doubts.

yes I took principles of nutrition and took Diet Therapy the next semester!

I haven't taken Diet Therapy but if you email the nursing advisor they can override that credit as long as you take it over summer/ before program start date!
