UCF Fall 2018 - Concurrent

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello fellow pre- nursing students :geek:!

I am am getting ready to gear up and apply for nursing program at UCF fall 2018! My GPA is not the highest as it is a 3.6. I plan on taking the teas pretty soon. I was wondering what the pool may be like for this upcoming semester. I also plan on applying to SSC and Valencia Concurrent program because the competition is so stiff in central Florida!

Hey is anyone having problems creating an account with complio?

Hey JudCherry! Did you find anything about the evening program? I recall a PowerPoint from one of the info sessions about it but that's all I could find.

I did! I emailed the nursing department asking about the schedule and how it differs from the daytime program. They replied, "Students in the full-time generic program will obtain an Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) from SSC in 5 semesters, and students in the part-time (nights/weekends) generic program will obtain an Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) in 7 semesters.

Generic Part-Time Night/Weekend Program: Students will be scheduled for lectures, labs and clinicals 3-6 days per week. Student schedules will vary each term, with lectures and labs being held between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. approximately 3 evenings a week on weekdays. Clinical days can start as early as 6:30 a.m. and last 8 to 12 hours. Clinicals are held on weekends (including holidays)."

Hope this helps! :)

Hey Juliana, I'm planning to apply for Spring 2019 also. I have a 3.9 GPA, got an 82% on the TEAS and I'm done with all my prereqs except I took Human Nutrition at my previous school so I have to take Diet Therapy this fall. I know this probably means I won't be competitive enough, but I'm going for it anyway and we'll see what happens. If not, I'll apply for Summer 2019. What are your stats?

Hey everyone! I don't know if anyone in this group is still active but does anyone have information to share about the UCF concurrent program?

I have applied to nursing school at Daytona State and think I have a pretty good shot of getting in. The UCF concurrent program is a fairly new option for us and I am wondering how you all like it? Is it difficult? Would you have done traditional if you could go back? I have finished all prerequisites for nursing school so my ADN will be strictly nursing classes.

Overall GPA: 3.9

TEAS: 84.7%

Thank you in advance!!
