I know this is a little bit early, but I am excited and a little anxious! UCF Cocoa/Daytona is my number one choice, and I am applying for the Spring of 2016! Is anyone else planning to apply? I look forward to hearing from everyone. We are in this together!
It is very possible to work while in the nursing program.I highly recommend that you don't.
However many people are working, and while this is difficult for them, we haven't lost anyone due to working.

Thank you!!!
Hello everyone. For those of you who already applied, I wanted to know how long did the background check process take? Was it something that could be completed in a day or did it require multiple days?
For me it took about a week, but that's only because they had the wrong number for my current employer and tried calling it several times before contacting me to ask me for it. I would get it done ASAP just in case you run into problems like in my case.
I submitted everything, and have all green checks!! Just a waiting game now, ugh needs to hurry!! So we will find out October-ish?
From what I've read (I've done so much research on this!) In the past students have gotten responses between the first and second week of October. This month and the following month will be the months of torture :-(
My background check took about a week. The only issue I'm encountering right now is that the last box says "incomplete" (the one where UCF is suppose to accept or reject my background check).
I gave certified profile my past employer's HR number and they tried multiple times to get into contact with them, but couldn't. However, it says the background check is complete.
I'm taking the TEAS exam tomorrow and then immediately applying once the scores come in. I'm certain that once my application is in, they will do their part in completing that last section on certified profile.

Mine says the same thing. I took a previous class that required a background check through certified profile back in 2012, that background check still shows as incomplete. I don't think you should worry about that.
Does UCF need our most recent transcript by the application deadline? I just got my final grades for the summer semester and three of my pre-reqs were among the classes I took, but I can't request a transcript transfer yet since it's too soon.
In a perfect world: yes. You would need to have given them everything up-to-date by the application deadline.
However, it wouldn't hurt to call UCF and let them know your situation. They would be able to give you a more concrete answer.
