UCF Daytona/Cocoa Spring 2016 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is a little bit early, but I am excited and a little anxious! UCF Cocoa/Daytona is my number one choice, and I am applying for the Spring of 2016! Is anyone else planning to apply? I look forward to hearing from everyone. We are in this together!

I am also planning to apply to UCF Cocoa. I am currently taking the last of my pre-reqs and on Monday i will be taking the Teas.

Hi everyone! I will be applying to the Cocoa campus as well! I'm super excited and nervous at the same time. I scored an 82 on the TEAS, I have a 3.92 overall GPA, and a 4.0 science pre-req GPA. I'm hoping my TEAS is not to low. I wish everyone the best of luck early and hopefully we can experience this amazing journey together! The application window opens tomorrow, don't wait to late to get everything taken care of!

I would recommend looking into the nursing elective course that I took last fall.

It's an Interdisciplinary Approach to Gerontology, and was an online course.

Great information, and it opened my eyes to the potential of working with the geriatric population :)

Good luck everyone!

Second degree student here!

My stats are:

Cum GPA- 3.31

Pre-req GPA - 4.0

TEAS - 80%

I'm retaking the TEAS exam on the 7th. Hopefully they'll be able to get those scores into UCF on time. I've been looking at other peoples stats throughout the years and it seems the admittance rate is across the board with no "one" score being the best one. Still, I've fairly nervous. I just got waitlisted at UNF and hoping UCF takes a liking to me more.

Does anyone know what UCF puts more weight on when looking at our stats?

Everything is taken into consideration against the others in your application pool equally.

It's all up to how well you fare against others.

Do you also happen to know how long it takes UCF to process TEAS scores? I really want to retake it and get a higher score, but if it means missing the deadline because they took too long to enter the scores in, I'd rather just give them the 80% I got last time.

All I know is that I can pay $27 and ATI will e-mail them right out.

If you take it at UCF they will have it same day

I submitted everything, and have all green checks!! Just a waiting game now, ugh needs to hurry!! So we will find out October-ish?

Bterry, do you mind telling us what your typical week is like the first semester? thanks for all of your help!

Well the first semester is very busy.

You will have weekly quizzes, discussions, assignments, etc.

But it is doable :)

Something my Senior Buddy, who is graduating next weekend, constantly said to me is that it is possible, otherwise there wouldn't be a senior class. 😊

Bterry:

Is it possible to keep a job while in the program? I'm a CNA at the hospital and work nights. I don't know if I should stay full time or transfer to a per diem position or even part time.

Thanks!

I scored 82 in the teas, my overall GPA is 3.5 and my pre-req GPA is 3.77.

I am debating on whether I should re-take the test or not
