UCF Daytona/Cocoa Spring 2016 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is a little bit early, but I am excited and a little anxious! UCF Cocoa/Daytona is my number one choice, and I am applying for the Spring of 2016! Is anyone else planning to apply? I look forward to hearing from everyone. We are in this together!

I got my follow up email!!!! WooHoo!!! Does anyone know about books? I know there are always new editions coming out but I know someone that is willing to sell ALL there books (same program but 2 years ago) for $600. Does that sound like a good deal or should I just get the new editions?

I'm a currently in the Daytona program. As far as books go, get them as cheap as possible and don't rent them since you will need them the entire program. If you are like me you won't utilize the books so much, instead you will utilize the instructors power points and other materials much more.

Also. Have you guys created a Facebook group for your class? You should since it is much more effective for communication. You can have a different group for each campus.

if you have any other questions I'll get to them.

Does anyone know if there is a Daytona Facebook page for the Spring Class? Looking forward to meeting you guys in a couple of weeks!

Hey! I just made a FB group for Daytona c/o '17!

Good Day!

I am planning to apply for UCF Cocoa Nursing Spring 2017, can someone provide some info in regards to experiences?

What is the class schedule for the first semester (hours/days)?

Thank you in advance =)

I go to the UCF Cocoa Campus currently and just finished my first semester! We had classes Mon/Wed. On Monday classes were from 9-3? and Wednesday we had lab, but that varied on times based on which lab group you are assigned to.

I applied for the Cocoa BSN spring 2017 program. Anyone else? Is there a fb group or thread on here for those who also applied for that term? Cannot find anyone else :/

Good Morning! I am a senior in the UCF Cocoa BSN program. I could't find a thread also for 2018.. You could make one, however if you guys use this one the seniors who previously used it may get emails and can help answer questions. I will make a Facebook page later this Fall for the student who get accepted into the program. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!

Thank you Whitney6188! I have a few questions if you don't mind...this first being if I do find out that I am accepted, would I be able to purchase books off of you after you graduate? Money will be incredibly tight if u am able to attend, and will need to pay for daycare also, which is 200 a week for a baby! So insane. If not, maybe you might know of someone selling theirs post graduation. Another question, after application deadlines closed, how many weeks did it take for you to hear back regarding acceptance from Cocoa?

One more question....do you learn IVS, and if so, are you made to practice on each other? (Odd question I know) thank you!!!

Jacquelynbe Several of the seniors that just graduated donated books and scrubs to be sold (for a much cheaper price) assuming the professors will use the same book. Many seniors will probably sell their books closer to graduation, myself included, or you could rent them. I found out I was accepted in the middle of October. We do learn IVs however you don't practice on each other. :)

Hey guys! For those of you who went to UCF Cocoa for nursing, how did you like the program? I'm trying to do some research but I cannot find anything on it. Thank you!!
