UCF Daytona/Cocoa Spring 2016 Hopefuls

Published

I know this is a little bit early, but I am excited and a little anxious! UCF Cocoa/Daytona is my number one choice, and I am applying for the Spring of 2016! Is anyone else planning to apply? I look forward to hearing from everyone. We are in this together!

So I talked to a lady at the CON and she said the follow up emails (the ones that will contain our contracts) will probably be sent to us at the end of the month. :) I am getting so excited! I can not wait to start!

So long from now 😭

So long from now

Should we already be in the process of getting our CPR certification? I'm not sure if I should wait for the further instructions or not.

I got an email today that I was taken off the waitlist and admitted to Daytona! Good luck to anybody still on the waitlist! Does anybody know the Daytona area and have suggestions on where to live?

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations! There is hope! If you don't mind me asking, what were your stats? I'm trying to stay positive but it's nerve wrecking.

I was very nervous too I didn't think I would actually get in. I had 3.8 non-science gpa, 3.4 for cumulative and science pre-req gpa, and an 80 on my TEAS.

Thank you so much! You had great stats, good luck in the program!

You'll do both of those once you start classes

Perhaps the slides are out of date, but their info session slides under " Requirements after provisional acceptance" (Slide 34) it mentions a 14 panel drug screen that includes alcohol.

I'll have to call them monday and see if they still do that or not.

You should have already done the 14 panel drug screen prior to your admission? I don't really remember it's been a while since I went through all that. You have to go to quest or somwhere similar that does lab testing and give them a urine sample and blood sample once before the program starts.

I am definitely looking for a roommate, I'm from Jacksonville, Florida! I wonder if we all will be able to meet at orientation?

For those of you looking for roomates in Cocoa- One person in our current program is looking for a roomate in a 3br/2ba condo in Rockledge 382$ a month plus electric and internet (usually a total of 50-80$) As soon as you have your official acceptance letters come through the mail our office secretary is going to send out emails about orientation, classes, books etc and will let you know about anyone here that has asked her to spread the word about looking for roommates. You may also reply to her email letting her know you are looking for roomates and she will send an email to anyone else looking with your name and contact info, if you wish. Also! of course you will all get to meet each other at orientation and this is a great time to meet people that also are looking for roomates :)

Congratulations to everyone who got in! It's difficult, but incredibly worth it. If anyone is interested in the apartment Sarah mentioned, you should message me here or text me 321-432-2829
