  1. Should we already be in the process of getting our CPR certification? I'm not sure if I should wait for the further instructions or not.
  2. I created a group for those attending the Cocoa campus. This is an unofficial group, as I could not find an official one. Here's a link for those interested... https://www.facebook.com/groups/108086992879986/
  3. Thank you so much for giving us your experiences! Where are most of the clinicals held? I'd like to live in Orlando and commute, but I think that'd be out of the question if the hospitals and homes are in Melbourne. Would you also have any recommendations as to where most people live in Rockledge and Viera? I've been looking at apartments, but I know nothing of those two areas.
  4. Do we have a facebook group for the Cocoa campus yet? If there isn't one i'll make a group and we can talk more about housing and any other issues we might have.
  5. I'm sure when we receive our MoA it'll say where we need to get it done. I don't want to jump the gun and find out I took the wrong version of all of those classes. I just really hope they'll give us enough time to take care of everything. I have sooo much to do O_O
  6. I haven't decided yet. I've never been to cocoa except when I drove past it on I-95. It takes about 45 minutes to get there from UCF via the 520. Have you found any good places to live over there?
  7. Perhaps the slides are out of date, but their info session slides under " Requirements after provisional acceptance" (Slide 34) it mentions a 14 panel drug screen that includes alcohol. I'll have to call them monday and see if they still do that or not.
  8. Just out of curiosity, are we not allowed to have a drink at all during the program? I understand that we're going to be drug tested for alcohol, but that sounds a little extreme. I like to enjoy a pint or two on the weekends you know? Not that it's a big deal to cut it out, but I don't want to be kicked out of the program for having a glass of wine with dinner haha!
  9. I GOT INTO COCOA!!!!!!! I WON!!!!! I look forward to working with you all come this spring!
  10. Well right now we're in the middle of the "6th week". Realistically though, I wouldn't expect to hear anything until next week.
  11. Keep us updated tomorrow. All applications were due today, so I imagine the balls will get rolling tomorrow morning. Keep in mind that UCF is going to continue to review our applications. So I imagine any issues will get taken care of. Worse case, we can call and see what's going on.
  12. Did you take the TEAS at UCF or at another site? I spoke to someone at the University Testing Center; they said that scores are sent to UCF every Friday. If you took it off site, I would double check your receipt in regards to your sent transcripts with ATI. I'm assuming as for the pre-reqs that those take time to go over. When did you submit your application?
  13. Can anyone tell me how long it took for UCF to green light your application? So far everything is good to go except the pre-requisite part, in which it is still under verification. I'm hoping I didn't submit too late by applying on the 10th =( I figured as long as I got everything by the deadline I should be ok right?
  14. In a perfect world: yes. You would need to have given them everything up-to-date by the application deadline. However, it wouldn't hurt to call UCF and let them know your situation. They would be able to give you a more concrete answer.
  15. I just got my TEAS score in. I got an 89.3. Is that considered a competitive score you think? Sending in my application tonight! I'm so incredibly excited!!
