UCF Cocoa Beach/Daytona Spring 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I am a pre-nursing student attending UCF Orlando Campus. I am applying this summer to Cocoa Beach and Daytona Campuses to start Spring 2013! Eeek! I know there have been other forums regarding previous admissions to the program that have helped me to figure where I stand. I thought it would be nice to have a chance to meet each other, talk about our scores, and answer or ask questions regarding the application process!

It is a little clicky but I think that happens a lot with groups. All in all we get along good though.

Hi guys!

Have you received any confirmation email after sending the MOA?

Thanks.

yes 2 emails were sent with a list of last names

Hi man-nurse2b. Thank you for answering. Could you, please, tell me whether among those names there is a "Roberts?" I haven't received any confirmation email and I am getting worried that they might not have received my MOA.

Thanks again.

Nevermind! I received it today. Thank you, man-nurse2b!

Hi everyone,

I am on the waitlist for Cocoa/Brevard and wanted to see if anyone has been accepted off of it yet? Since they said we should be notified before December 15th, I'm hoping I recieve an email soon!

bsnmom023 I was curious, since the RN to BSN program is strictly online, do some of our regular BSN classes eventually go to 100% online format? Also what are nursing electives? and are there anyone trying to get a easy minor along with their BSN major (i was thinking Health Info Management) ...not like there aint enough work to do.

hopeful01, There has been at least 1 person that I know of that has been moved off the waitlist.

None of the basic BSN classes have been totally online except for the nursing elective, which you will be given a list of before the summer semester. The topics vary from oncology to genetics to rehab nursing...The only other class that had a large online component was Research. It's like a half and half format where you only attend every other week. As far as anyone doing a minor, I really have no idea. This program seems to be enough for most of us...lol.

Any waitlisted persons got in yet? I asked because the most recent list we got has less than 36 students, in any case dont give up just yet. Get your vaccines out of the way in the mean time in case u get that call or email. This is for Daytona.

@bsnmomWe got an email of how the semester will look like.. Are we going to school every day? Its not like tues/thurs or mon/wed? With clinicals on the side

Classes Mondays and Wednesdays and clinicals Tuesdays and Thursdays for Community the 1st 1/2, then Thursdays and Fridays for LTC clinicals the 2nd 1/2. That was my schedule. I know other clinical instuctors had their groups go 3 days a week for LTC just to get the hours finished and be done early. It really all depends on your instructor. Plan on a 4 day week at least. See you all tomorrow!!
