I am a pre-nursing student attending UCF Orlando Campus. I am applying this summer to Cocoa Beach and Daytona Campuses to start Spring 2013! Eeek! I know there have been other forums regarding previous admissions to the program that have helped me to figure where I stand. I thought it would be nice to have a chance to meet each other, talk about our scores, and answer or ask questions regarding the application process!

I had originally made my orientation for december 12 for ucf which then i had to make an appointment with the advisor to clear the orientation hold.. but i called the college of nursing for cocoa she said that they were going to send us all that info soon and that i needed to change it to december 17 which was when all the students accepted for the program for cocoa im guessing were going to have orientation as well as talk to an advisor at that time.. I'm going to call but I'm sure this orientation will clear up ucfs hold. atleast that's what i understood so make sure you call first before doin another orientation
yes i just spoke to ucf cocoa nursing.. you have to go to the orientation on dec 17 or for daytona the 19 i'm not sure what date is for yours and she said that will take the hold off ucf as well as the advising and it will also be a time to meet the other students.. the mandatory nursing orientation will be in january

Ok I just spoke to them and that is correct and I got everything clarified. The UCF orientation hold for nursing students at Daytona Campus will be on December 19th. I did not do anything my the orientation I signed up for but they said they will just have to switch me to December 19th for cohort orientation where the whole class will meet up for the first time. they will also have a CPR class on that day for anyone who has not have it already. Then later on January 2nd and 3rd we will have mandatory Nursing orientation....They are waiting until this Friday to make sure everyone gets a chance to respond to the conditional email then next week they will email out the memorandum/contract for official acceptance in the program, along with a bunch of other stuff in the coming weeks so keep your eyes on yr emails guys.
