UCF Cocoa Beach/Daytona Spring 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Published

I am a pre-nursing student attending UCF Orlando Campus. I am applying this summer to Cocoa Beach and Daytona Campuses to start Spring 2013! Eeek! I know there have been other forums regarding previous admissions to the program that have helped me to figure where I stand. I thought it would be nice to have a chance to meet each other, talk about our scores, and answer or ask questions regarding the application process!

@kikila I was gonna wait until Monday to email him. I figured he wasn't going to check his email over the weekend. Lol pretty sure he's getting bombarded with emails about the final decisions.

I am so happy to all who have been accepted into the program! I hope to be in your place come next spring. I have been following this forum for a while (not to be creepy, I promise) to see where my standards should be at. I honestly don't think I have a shot. All of you who got in have AA's and had some experience in the field and your GPA's and TEAS are rather high. I have the minimum GPA. If I keep going the track I'm going I will have a 3.5 prereq and a 3.7 overall. No AA, just 60 hours transferred. Im going to volunteer at TGH starting next Friday (I doubt that would get me anywhere though). I guess I have to just study hard for my TEAS and do well on the interview then?

I'm so nervous you guys, I'd kill to have a spot there! Congrats again to all who got in! (:

your GPA seems good enough. 2 things that will help you are getting you AA first, and foreign language requirement, they really look for that, I ended up with 76 credits on my AA, transferred credit without an AA means they have to evaluate each course to ensure it is compatible with their standards, whereas an AA is more or less guaranteed transfer (well provided its from a State College) next work on your TEAS aiming for 85 and higher.

I won't have time to earn my AA before applying come August. ): I do have my foreign requirements covered, I believe. I took French all four years in high school and aced all four. I guess I just need to study hard for my TEAS and hit the 85 mark. Thank you so much for all the info and best of luck in nursing school!

Ahhh you guys i'm so excited to start! I've been looking into the classes that we will be taking this semester. January cannot come soon enough! :nurse: :)

I need to find a roommate too for the Daytona Campus!!

Hello all, this is for anyone who has ever gotten waitlisted. For those of you who have applied multiple times, were you denied the other times? Or waitlisted? What are the chances of still getting a spot if you were notified of being waitlisted?

Message for Daytona group- One of your future classmates started a Facebook group for Daytona but she's not a member of All Nurses so she asked me to post the link for her...so here you go!
