UCF BSN Spring 2014 Hopefuls / Applicants Daytona Cocoa Campus

Published

Starting a thread for the applicants to the University of Central Florida Daytona and Cocoa Campus, with the starting semester of Spring 2014. Anyone else out there?

Also, dont worry about interviews guys. i prepared for interviews a week before i had mine. all i did was google common interview questions, write them on flash cards, and had my boyfriend ask me them. one thing, make sure to keep your answers pretty short and to the point. i had noticed that some of the interviewers getting annoyed when some people would ramble on. the questions are very basic. and there is no order in which you answer them when you are in the group. also, we finished our interview rather quickly and they gave us the opportunity to ask THEM questions. i took advantage of that, so they knew i was very interested. they want people who stick out :)

Hey!....so when you were invited to the interview, how early did they email and let you know that you had to come?

@nvictoria :)im really hoping its good enough to get in because you never know when there are others who are better than you.:bookworm:.....what about you? how are your scores?

@perkl3 I know what you mean, I'm hoping they don't weigh too much on the interviews though because I get really nervous for those sort of things. My stats are Overall GPA: 3.96, Pre-req GPA: 4.0, and TEAS: 90.7.

You guys have great scores and shouldnt have to worry about getting in or not, i think you all have a very good chance!

And @perkl3 ... i think they started sending out emails about 6-8weeks after the application deadline! we had our interviews i think, 2 weeks after, and heard back the final decision 5 days later!

Hello, can anyone ALREADY in the program tell me what the range of scores are for currently enrolled students? Just give me some average stats, or does everyone that applies have a 3.7 or better?

- Thank you

We don't really talk about our scores and whatnot but to give an idea I was told by one of the advisors that the avg before they started interviewing was a 3.5 gpa and an 85 TEAS. I know the interview changed that up though.

When I was at my interview, I heard nothing less than a 3.5 overall and yes about 85 TEAS

@nvictoria omg those are amazing scores!!!!!...you'll get in with no problems:)

5 days later?!..wow that was fast...we def won't have time to die, worrying whether or not we got in:bored:hehe.............they said in an email that all interviews will be on Oct 15...I hope they don't change dates because i'll be totally screwed then :banghead:.

There were people in our class who got in with a GPA lower than a 3.5. The interview helps a lot with them trying to see the whole person instead of just grades on paper.

Wow interviews October 15th! Coming up soon :) Excited for you guys!

And were there people below 3.5 ? Thats good and yeah I agree, the interviews are a good thing! :) Shows who really really wants it!

Got an 86 on my second TEAS attempt so I was able to submit my application! Woohoo! I'm looking at the MyUCF screen and my DirectConnect just processed. It says I need to sign up for orientation and I'm just wondering if anybody knows if the general orientation is mandatory since I know there's an orientation specifically for nursing students too?
