UCF Basic BSN Applicants Spring 2015 Cocoa/ Daytona Campus

Published

Hello there!

I will be applying to UCF's Basic BSN program that starts in the spring of 2015 at the Cocoa and Daytona campuses. The application window is from July 15th to August 16th. Anyone else planning to apply? :)

One more question for you (for now haha). Do clinicals or classes or anything happen on the weekend or does it all generally happen throughout the week? I'm debating whether or not to keep my job on the weekends.

Thank you!

Both clinicals and classes occur on weekdays. Several people worked during the first semester and the second semester and have kept up in class. A job on the weekends is certainly do-able, keep in mind that during clinicals you will have a reduced amount of time to study and more often than not you end up studying during the weekend. The clinicals during the first semester are not too intense but they do take up your whole day. I hope that helps you decide!

Yes thank you! I will take that into consideration.

So I don't know about you guys but the anticipation is killing me! The soonest we will find out is in ten days. Do you know if we will find out by email or a letter in the mail?

They will send a notification to your Knights email if you're accepted. If your denied they send it to whatever email address you have on file with them.

You can get this information if you check the status of your application.

Speaking of email, did anyone get an email from Connie Washam? She said the decision would be made by October 10th, and that we should get a head start on our vaccinations.

I just created a knights email account. Didn't know we had to make it ourselves. And I got that email from Connie in my personal email this afternoon.

I haven't received the email but I am also awaiting the APG committee to met on October 7th. I am not getting my hopes up since it is my GPA I had to appeal not knowing that withdraws made an impact on your overall GPA. What other vaccinations did she mention and that seems like a good email to receive telling you to prepare and pay for vaccinations :)

The email specified that you will need:

- Records of your childhood immunizations.

- Varicella vaccination/proof of vaccination/ titer.

- Current Tdap booster.

- HepB immunization.

- proof of health insurance.

- American Heart Association CPR.

- Physical examination.

Thats all folks.

Ughhhhhh. I just want to know already :angrybird10:

Can you tell me around what date the orientation was for last year? I'm going to be traveling around Christmas time (I would assume it wouldn't be then) but I just wanted to make sure I'll be around. Thanks :)

We're so close to decision date! Tomorrow is the first day we could feasibly get an answer (first buisness day after the six weeks from application cutoff). I'm going crazy!!
