UCF Basic BSN Applicants Spring 2015 Cocoa/ Daytona Campus

Published

Hello there!

I will be applying to UCF's Basic BSN program that starts in the spring of 2015 at the Cocoa and Daytona campuses. The application window is from July 15th to August 16th. Anyone else planning to apply? :)

That would drive me crazy :( I'm taking my teas Thursday. Will let you know how it goes. Good luck with your application! Your GPA is nice and high:)

Does anyone know if it matters which campus we send our transcripts to? Is it okay if I sent my transcripts to the main campus?

You send your transcripts to the main campus and from what I understand they will make a degree audit from which the School of Nursing will make a decision.

Since we're talking stats,

GPA: 3.61

pre-reqs: 4.00

TEAS: 88.7

Those are mine.

Hopefully we will all get in.

Took my TEAS and finished my classes today!

TEAS- 84

Cumulative GPA- 3.9

PreReq GPA- 4.0

I hope we all get in too haha. Some of us have higher GPA's, some have higher test scores..

So I stressed myself out taking a 12-week gen chem 1 class with lab, and I got a C which was really devastating. But as I was looking over the list of pre-reqs again I noticed it didn't have to be chemistry, so I called and asked if my Bio 1 class would count for that pre-req and she said yes! So I'm feeling really relieved but kind of upset about the time and money wasted on that class. But at least I can post my GPAs now.

Science: 3.75

Pre-req: 3.7

Cumulative: 3.3

TEAS: 82.7

I feel like my stats are all pretty average but hopefully not too low, I feel pretty confident now.

I'm applying to the Cocoa campus. I keep filling out my application and chickening out on pressing send.... My stats are:

Prereq: 3.8 (science is 4.0)

Overall: 3.47

TEAS: 86

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Does anyone know why the application asks for your employer? Does having medical experience add anything?

Hello team spring 2015 Cocoa/ Daytona campus!

Am kind of apprehensive with my overall GPA :(

Do you think this scores will get me in?

science prerequisite:4.0

all prerequisites: 4.0

overall GPA: 3.257

TEA's score: 84.7

I've heard of people getting in with lower scores than yours.

I know each applicant pool is different but realistically I don't think with my TEAS score I will get in to the program, but has anyone heard of someone getting in with a 78% TEAS? My GPA is only a 3.45 and Pre-req is a 3.8.

ANHH, last year someone got in with an 80% TEAs and a 3.2 Overall GPA. Their prereq was a 4.0, but the stats are pretty close to yours. I wouldn't give up hope yet.
