Hello everyone. I'm new to allnurses.com and I just wanted to say congrats to those who got into the 2012 UCF nursing program this summer.

I am a prenursing student at UCF as I am still working on a few prerequisites before I apply to CON.

Seeing you all on here, all going through the things I'll be going through next spring makes me feel better about this whole process.

Good luck to everyone!!! Strap in! It's going to be one kind of a ride from what I've heard.

Is there anyone out there who is planning on applying to accelerated program (ABSN) that starts in summer 2013? I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding many of you who wouldn't mind going through this somewhat stressful process together! :)

I am very excited and hopeful that I'll be accepted next year. I already have a bachelor's degree in finance and investments so my #1 choice is the accelerated route, however I will also apply to the basic program as a back up option, which will start in the fall of 2013.

Anyone has taken TEAS yet? I took it in spring semester and scored 82. My overall GPA is 3.90 and prerequisite GPA 4.0 so far. I still have 4 prerequisites to complete. Should I retake the TEAS? I heard that scoring 90 or above makes you really competitive.

Hello everyone! I am scheduled for the 10:30 arrival time for the 11:00 interview. I am anxious and nervous about the interview. I found out today that there are 111 people scheduled for the ABSN interview for March 22nd and that number scares me since only 60 of us will be getting in. I wish that all of us could get in!!!!

111, huh?

They told me around a 100 last week.

How did you find out such precise number?

I'm nervous too but I'm staying positive :)

Otherwise, go put them in your car now so you don't forget tomorrow (Thursday). Then like this status. ^_^

Keep in mind, we are just a small portion of the 111 that will be interviewed, let's just say 20, so here's to the initial establishment of camaraderie come this Friday between all of us starting with our pens. :)

Yep. That's where I got mine at Walmart.

Are you guys nervous? My anxiety is rising. Lol

I could only find one sitting around work. But its in my purse.

Ok, yep. Anxiety is in full form today. I'm really nervous. I'm worried everyone else has better stats. And I have been told I'm overconfident in interviews.

OK, quick trip to Walmart this morning resulted in a bag of red pens and a much needed lint roller.

I just realized that I have to study this weekend and early next week because I have a Nutrition test on Wednesday, like I'll be able to concentrate at all until those letters go out....

Thinking positively. But stressed.

Ha. Those RED PENS!!! When we all get into the program we should call our cohort RED pens or something like that. Lol ;)

This waiting is the worst. I'm so ready for next week.

I have my red pens ready! I don't think that there are many of us on this thread that are going to be in the 11:00 interview so I may be the only one in my time slot with the red pens... LOL! I am just like you I can't concentrate on anything else and the waiting is killing me!!! :wacky:

Publix didn't have any red pens when I was there this morning. Will try to get to Walmart today, but if not and you see a girl in a gray suit with a red marker, that's me! Haha

I wonder if they let you stick around after the interview...I know that there is a little cafe place so maybe we can meet some of you in there...
