  1. I wanted to share (hooray) and just tell my story on passing in case it helps someone else :) I was in accelerated RN program in Florida in 2013. Unfortunately, half way through the program financial aid refused to give me any more money and we had used most of our savings already for school, so I had withdraw from the program. Fast forward a year later and an RN friend mentioned to me that I could challenge the LPN exam for FL since I completed half of the RN program. It took me close to 6 months to get it approved through my school, but eventually they saw I was serious and decided to approve me to sit for the exam. I started studying at the beginning of the summer. I used Saunders comprehensive review and read the entire thing along with doing the practice tests at the end of each section. I also used the Kaplan Strategies, Practice, and Review book, which I thought had great tips. RN friends recommended I use the Kaplan Qbank so I purchased that about 2 weeks ago and have been doing 85 question exams every night. I only had about 100 unused questions left. I consistently scored around 62% on the exams. I took the NCLEX-PN yesterday at 2pm and the computer shut off at 85 questions. Florida already had my test results by 8am this morning (yay, Florida) and I passed! I feel the Kaplan Qbank is really what helped me the most. The NCLEX questions felt very similar to the Kaplan ones and I felt really at ease once I started the exam and realized it was almost like taking my Qbank tests at home. So glad I finally took and passed :)
  2. Oh yeah! Now I remember someone saying one of the interviewers was timing. My interviewers weren't timing (or at least not that I noticed), but it's good info to help you guys prepare :)
  3. I will be calling around like crazy on Monday!
  4. Found it! Just requested to join :)
  5. Agreed! I'm on the daycare hunt right now and they all open and close at different times so it would be so helpful to know how the schedule will work so I can pick a place. Guess we just have to take it as it comes.
  6. Same here...or if I need one that opens at 6am.
  7. I'm going to try for orientation next Friday :) I need to look at the time for it. I also need clinical schedules so I can get a daycare picked for my son.
  8. Congrats on your interviews, everyone!
  9. I figured that's why it wasn't showing up
  10. I can't find it either...can you post the link?
  11. Haha! I did a few minutes ago, but initially I just read the first line and started making phone calls :)
  12. I'm in!!!!!!!!!!
  13. There was only 5 people out of the 25 for my interview slot that applied to both and I was surprised too!!!
  14. Interviews for basic are out. Since those of us that applied to basic haven't gotten one, maybe it's because we got in and won't need that interview! Oh, I wish our emails would come already!
