UCCS Colorado Springs, CO FNP program; application, acceptance, course load

Inquiring about the UCCS (Colorado Springs, CO) FNP program. Would like to find out any additional details (good to know) about the program other than what is posted on the school's web-page. Program advisor just basically emailed & re-stated similar information when I asked her to elaborate (including the brochure).

I have read some details about the program while scouring allnurses & 2 replies from current UCCS FNP & AGNP students (thank you!)

Any info on application, acceptance, course load & anyone in CO Springs locally knowledgeable of this graduate program?

Many thanks!

Hi,

I might be that current AGNP student at UCCS you were referring too! I am in the second semester doing the online program and it is ok. Like most online programs, you are really teaching yourself. You have to find your own preceptors too. I feel it is a decent program so far. You can message me with specific questions if you like.

I have some questions id love to ask you peacock! But it won't let me message you...

Thank you PeacockMaiden!

-Acceptance; are you privy to any information in this area? the program page is very vague with basic admittance criteria & the advisor (via email) just restated the website information.

-Have you communicated with any graduates of this program? if so, how did they like it, pros/cons?

-Preceptor find; this seems to be a headache for many NP programs, is there any assistance/guidance?

-What geared you toward the AGNP rather than the FNP? I'm on the fence about this weighing pro/cons of each.

Any additional information will be greatly appreciated! Thank you:up:

Looking for feedback please: UC Colorado Springs Beth-el DNP program - what are its merits and its detractions? I have been accepted; just deciding. Thanks

Hello was wondering if you decided to go to UCCS DNP. I was admitted for 2016

I was wondering how you like the DNP program? Does it let you sit for FNP boards afterwards?
