  1. Thanks for the feedback. I applied that day and recently inquired about the time to process the application because it has been a month now and the status is the same. He says 8-12 weeks. Honestly, they should both be 1 application since all new grads need both basically, but I rest my case. I fine the prescriptive authority kind of confusing--can you shed any light on the process/progression of rx authority. I think I applied for provisional and I have 1 year from the time the provisional rx authority is approved to find an actual mentor..and from the time I find an actual mentor I have 3 years to complete those hours and then I can applied for FULL rx authority once I have the mentored hours? Is that right? I'm a new grad and having trouble finding a job and the interviews I have had require you to have (?provisional) rx authority. I graduated in dec '16, passed boards jan '16, APN per co feb '16
  2. How long did it take for them to approve you rx authority application after submission? Should I apply for rx authority now while awaiting approval of my APN license through dora or should I wait. I figure I should wait since dora is so absent minded and I feel lke me not having my APN license yet is just giving them a reason to delay my rx authority application. This process is taking so long and DORA is very poor in turn around time. I've only dealt with tx bon before but they were a dream and very time oriented...dora bon not even close. So I dont want to be delayed anymore than i have to be.
  3. Looking for a a NP/CNM/MD/DO to precept in primary care, women's health, and/or peds. Anyone from any university where you have to find your own preceptors have any advice for the DENVER/AURORA, COLORADO area? ANY helps is great help, regardless of what program you're in. THANKS! -L
  4. Houston is huge and always hiring NPs from what I hear. The 6 new grads I know rec'd jobs immediately. Will you PM me, I have a question about finding preceptors and u of Cincinnati- saw this on a previous post and unable to pm you
  5. Do you currently work at these hospitals?
  6. Yikes in regards to the pay.. So what am I looking for 3 years of experience Bc that is what I'll have when I move... But I'll have to negotiate pay before I hit 3 years. I get paid $31 now. I care for environment, patient population, and great teamwork.. The pay is important Bc I'm starting grad school in jan and well ya know that isn't cheap. Would you recommend the travel assignment there? And that's through uch... Not if I'm with a travel agency right? I saw that job description. How soon should I apply for that position? I'm moving in mid June Thanks so much klone.
  7. I am currently a L&D RNC-Ob in Houston,Tx med center for 2.6 years. I am moving to Denver Colorado this summer and very excited. 1. I am looking into travel l&d assignments, any suggestions on agencies? 2. Where are the best hospitals to work for in Denver/very close surrounding area? I currently have the best benefits and get $4000 for tuition reimbursement/year withOUT commitment..is there any place that offers that without commitment? 3. What should I expect for pay at hospitals in denver for l&d RN..not referring to agency pay on this question. I am full time l&d RN and a PRN l&d RN. one hospital delivers 5000-6000/year and the other 1000/year. I consider myself seasoned and hold great experiences. I do low risk and high risk and I'm up for learning new things. I love charting in CPN..who uses CPN :) Texas RN's in the med center get paid very well...and we do not have a state tax..so I need to make what I am making plus a little more to compensate for the CO state tax. cost of living seems similar.
  8. You have to have 15 topics before you can pm someone. What's your email?
  9. I am accepted too. Not really sure how to connect with people or how to send messages, but pm me if you can. I can't seem to figure it out. I saw that you applied to Frontier too? Did you decide 100% of Cincinnati?
  10. I have some questions id love to ask you peacock! But it won't let me message you...
