UC San Diego Health New Grad January 2018

Hi! Just wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to the UC San Diego Health new grad program starting in January 2018. Has anyone heard back at all?

I interviewed for L&D last week, they said it would be a few weeks before I hear back from them as they were conducting interviews all last week and this week.

I had a mini-phone interview for CVC PCU yesterday. Then, received an in-person interview invite today for next week.

@pinkuu was your mini phone interview scheduled or was it they called you and started asking you questions on the spot?

The nurse manager had called me on the spot, asked if I was still interested, then asked me two questions. From there I had to wait about a day for an email response on whether or not they had chosen me to for an interview in-person. I didn't think my phone interview was that impressive for them to email me, but I'm grateful! My status changed to "Consideration for Interview" on 12/6/17. I was informed it was going to be a panel interview.

My status for surg/onc is "Referred to Hiring Department" on 12/1/17.

Congrats and good luck! I've been applying to UCSD everytime they have something and I never hear from them :/ What kind of questions did they ask you on the phone?

Congrats on your interview invite! If you don't mind me asking, do you have any healthcare work experience prior to your application with UCSD? I remember that you were invited for interview with Sharp too. :) What do you think will help my profile become more competitive like yours? Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you so much! :D

Did the status of your application change? I had a friend who works at UCSD and emailed the nurse manager but I still haven't heard anything yet.

No status change yet, I applied 12/6. I would imagine they will move quick on this as the position starts next month.
