Hi there,

just thought I’d start a page for anyone that’s applied to University of Colorado, Centura or Children’s Hospital Colorado New Grad Nurse Residencies for the Summer 2020 Cohorts. I’ve applied to all 3 and am just looking for others to connect with!

Thank you so much! Good luck to you too! My dream is ICU, which is what I was interviewing for. I’d be happy with an IMU or even a general med surg floor that offers a lot of variety.

I sent in my references for UCHealth a week or so ago. I applied to Metro Denver and the Colorado Springs location, just got an email from them saying it was determined that participating units are looking for someone who more closely meets the needs of the nursing department(s). Hopefully I’ll get better news from Colorado Springs or Children’s. Just wanted to provide an update and Wishing you all the best ☺️

Fingers crossed!! I haven’t heard anything from UCH in Colorado Springs since the email about successfully turning in my application last Monday.

Good luck! I applied in Fort Collins, and have yet to hear anything past the initial "we'll ask for your references" email.

Also nothing from Children's, but I'm wondering if they intend to just cancel their residency?

I also got this email! Hopeful that some good news from Colorado Springs comes soon too.

I received an email from Centura today saying they did not have a position for me for the June cohort... which is fine because I did not apply for the June cohort LOL. They're considering me still for August start dates.

Children's Hospital also updated their page today to state they are going to look at new grad applications! The situation is fluid, but as of now they are considering hiring.

Hey all! Just an update. I received a call from both UC Health in Colorado Springs and Children's in Colorado Springs today to schedule interviews. Hopefully that means things will start coming through for you guys soon as well!

Hey!

I only applied to children's and centura, because I misses the deadline for UC. I got an email from children's saying that they hired someone with more experience. I got an email from centura saying that I was still being considered for the second Summer cohort. Hope to get good news!

Does anyone who interviewed with UCH Colorado Springs have an update? I interviewed last Friday and I haven’t heard back. They said it could be 2 weeks.

I interviewed last week and was told the same. More units will be interviewing this week and next week so I’m thinking we may hear something the week of the 15th.
