UC Health, Centura, Children’s Hospital Colorado Summer 2020

Hi there,

just thought I’d start a page for anyone that’s applied to University of Colorado, Centura or Children’s Hospital Colorado New Grad Nurse Residencies for the Summer 2020 Cohorts. I’ve applied to all 3 and am just looking for others to connect with!

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are staying healthy during this crazy time!

I applied to Centura Health and UCH. Today, I heard from an assistant unit manager for an ICU new grad position at the Penrose St. Francis Location. I have an interview Friday. I was extremely shocked to hear back without hearing from HR first.

How exciting!! I wouldn't expect to here directly from the assistant manager either but thats amazing and so exciting. Congratulations!

I received an email on 5/4 saying they received my application and if selected for an interview requests for references will be sent out in the near future. But that was it.

Hi! I applied for UCHealth and Centura about 2 and a half weeks ago. I haven't heard anything from either yet, but my application status still says in process/under review. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

While looking through previous threads it looks like last years applicants heard something this week. So I'm hoping it's the same for us!

My interview went well! It was with the unit managers. I was offered a position, but it was not for the unit I really wanted so I declined the offer.

Now I am hoping for some good news from UCH soon.

Good luck to you! What unit are you hoping for? UCH is my first choice if I get to pick!

I just received an email today from UC Health regarding next steps (saying in the future they may ask for references) - still nothing from Centura or the Children's Hospital!
