Hey guys! I wanted to start this thread for those of us that have applied to the UC Davis RN residency program for the August and October 2017 start dates! This is so exciting! Let's keep each other updated and support each other along the way!
I interviewed for the NICU on Monday. According to interviewees, that was the only day they were interviewing for the NICU. I believe they interviewed about 8 candidates and I was told they will be hiring 2, possibly 3 for both the August and October start dates. The structure of the interview was very different than others I've had for nursing in the past. Very rigid, questions were pre-set, lots of writing on their part of every single word I said. However, the interviewees told me this is the one and only interview and they will make their decision by the end of the day. However, they route their decisions to HR, then HR contacts the candidates in 1-2 weeks. I was told the units are slowly beginning to call for interviews (just because I got an interview for NICU doesn't mean you missed your shot for ED, tele, etc). Hope this helps! Good luck everyone!
That is universal to every interview at UCD. They have to be able to objectively demonstrate why they chose the person that they did... everybody gets the same questions (for a given job/department).The structure of the interview was... Very rigid, questions were pre-set, lots of writing on their part of every single word I said.

Hi! Just out of curiosity, where are you from and what school/program did you go through! MSN or BSN? Thanks!
