Hey guys! I wanted to start this thread for those of us that have applied to the UC Davis RN residency program for the August and October 2017 start dates! This is so exciting! Let's keep each other updated and support each other along the way!
Some of my classmates got calls to interview roughly 1 - 1.5 months later after applying.
Also, the FAQ states "contingent offers of employment are typically made about six-weeks prior to the program state date." Taking this into account, offers should be made by mid July.
I suspect interviews will occur during June and early July.
They absolutely do place new grads into the various units (NSICU, CTICU, Burn ICU, MICU, SICU, and the two MSICUs). I'm not sure about PICU AND NICU but I'd imagine they do. Occasionally in the ED but they've had some bad experiences so perhaps note.Hi there, can someone tell me if during the application process they ask your department(s) of interest? For instance, do they take new grads in ICU? I don't see it on the website FAQs.
If it's not stated, there's no hard limit. However, even for a seasoned pro a resume should never exceed 2 pages and 1 page is *always* preferred. Make certain that every line adds real value. Be brutal in your excision. White space is important. Also wondering if there is a one or two page max for resume. Didn't see that either.
