UC Davis Residency March 2013

Published

Hi everyone, I just applied to UCD's new grad program for spring of next year and didn't see any threads so I though I'd start one. Please post any updates or info you get about the residency!

Thanks!

I just called and they will still be doing calls early Jan!

Just curious, of the 7 units mentioned previously, which ones did you all preceptor in/have experience in/ interested in?

What are the 7 units?

The status change isn't individual specific. It will say "Routed" for everyone. The recruiter forwarded application to the following units: L&D, cardiovascular, PCU, GI, ortho, and Transplant. He's waiting to hear back from other departments to see if they would like to take in new grads. Calls for interviews will not be made until late Dec/early January.

Hope this helps! Good luck everyone.

Someone earlier mentioned 7. . . This just reveals 6 of the 7 possible units

I see. For me it would be L&D. I precepted in NICU and I would love to work with mom and baby!

precepted in Peds but currently work as a Nurse Assistant in adult cardiac so I'm hoping to get invited for either...

I precepted in Peds, too... that'll make three of us, hope that means that they are hiring at the children's hospital!

I hope they hire in peds department too!

I just received a call yesterday for an interview. I'm very interested in LnD, but being so excited to just be called I forgot to ask what unit it was for. Has anyone else been called??

I have not been called and my app status still says routed. Has anyone else been called for an interview? Does anyone know if they let you know if they are not moving you forward to the interview process?

You either get a call or you don't. Everyone's status says the same thing and is updated at the same time whether you are rejected or interviewed or get the position.
