UC Davis Residency March 2013

Hi everyone, I just applied to UCD's new grad program for spring of next year and didn't see any threads so I though I'd start one. Please post any updates or info you get about the residency!

The status change isn't individual specific. It will say "Routed" for everyone. The recruiter forwarded application to the following units: L&D, cardiovascular, PCU, GI, ortho, and Transplant. He's waiting to hear back from other departments to see if they would like to take in new grads. Calls for interviews will not be made until late Dec/early January.

Do you have to state your nursing school GPA on your application? Or does it come up during the interview? I'm wondering how much emphasis they put on GPA.

I did not put my GPA on my resume

I don't think I had to put my GPA on any applications. Some places ask you to choose which range your GPA falls into, but not your exact GPA. I can't remember if Davis did this.

Has anyone heard from Davis yet?

I was invited for panel interview in Transplant unit last week. They will be conducting those in the beginning of January. I was told the unit had 29 applications transferred for them for screening and interviewing. Not sure how many applicants they will choose to interview though. There are only 2 night positions open in that unit. So, as we were told seven units requested applications then about 30 applicants that were transferred to them will make it around 210 all together :) I'm very excited and anxious about the interview as I have never had one like that. Good luck on your panel interview, and thank you for the numbers! It gives me a better idea of what the process is looking like. Do you know how many people applied in all for the UC Davis Residency program?
