Thought I’d join the chat. I precepted in Ortho, got a call to interview on 12/29. Interviewed with Ortho Trauma on 1/4. Got a reference check on 1/4, completed on 1/7. Haven’t heard anything. Good luck everyone ?

Hey! Sort of off topic but was wondering if anyone knows how many applicants UC Davis had for this round of applications and/or how many people they select? I'm guessing it probably depends on the units needs, but was wondering if anyone had any guesses?

I heard from someone who applied for the last cohort that they had something like 2,000 applicants and only took like 15. I’m not sure how accurate those numbers are though

Wow! That’s is a lot of applications...

I heard that today they were supposed to call to those who got accepted, so I’m very discouraged now. 
Hope for the best for all of you guys ??

I’m sure they interview way less people than the total number of applicants so I think there’s definitely a chance still! Don't lose hope yet

Nurse recruitment told me that we can hear as late as around February 1st I think for the February start date, but that we probably might hear earlier. But I'm not sure.

I also felt very discouraged, but keep the faith! At least there is still another cohort in march!

Has anyone heard of people who got calls with an offer for the February cohort? 

They asked me during the interview when do I prefer to start and I said February, but it seems it's not going to happen :)
