UC Davis Nurse Residency Program Spring 2021

Hi everyone!

Wanted to start a post so we can stay connected through the process! Application opens October 26, 2020 – November 2, 2020 for starts dates February 22, 2021 – April 19, 2021. Any one else applying?

I talked with nurse recruitment yesterday and she said that she sent over my completed reference check to the unit. I think now the unit will be making a decision.

Has anyone interviewed for the OR unit?

Did you get a reference request email immediately following your interview? Was this the same for everyone else who interviewed?

I got a reference request that same day! I'm pretty sure it's the same reference request that other people might have received.

I never got one after my interview. I sure hope that isn’t a bad thing. ???

I have received the reference check right after my interview, but haven’t heard anything since then. 
don’t be discouraged guys, I heard that you still may receive the reference check later, and it doesn’t mean anything. 
Hopefully we all will hear something soon...

do you know if they will send rejection emails to those who weren’t selected?

Exactly! We just have to continue to have faith. I hope we hear something back soon.

The unit manager that interviewed me told me that they do send emails to all the candidates letting them know whether they got the job or not. I don’t know if it’s specific to the unit though, or if it’s a general thing. ?
