Published

Hey fellow new grads!

Anyone else apply for the UCD new grad position that opened from Nov 21-28 for positions in Feb and April of 2019? Starting a thread to keep each other updated!

Good luck on the job hunt :)

Hi everyone! I recently accepted an offer in the NICU. Is there anybody else who was offered a position as well? Congrats for the people who have had interviews and offers ?

Congratulations!! When did they notify you the offer? Is it for the Feb or April cohort?

Congrats on the NICU!!

Has anyone looking for an adult ICU position heard anything or know when they will be contacting people?

I've yet to hear anything. My application status currently still says "Routed."

And congrats @bap22!!

Hello. I will be graduating in December and am interested in applying to this program. My understanding is that it is very competitive. Can anyone who received an interview give me any advice? For example, certain number of volunteer hours, GPA, or preceptorship unit? I will also be emailing them for some info but wanted to see what applicants had to say. Thank you so much!

Thank you! I received the offer around February 7th and it is for the Feb Cohort Start date.

To all those waiting, I called HR they're sending invitations to interview till early March.

Thank you! Hoping it will be soon since Davis is my top choice but I did get contacted for another opportunity and don't want to have to choose before Davis finishes sending out invites for interviews.

Best of luck!

Hi! I've applied to the program.

I was born and raised in Sacramento, went to UCD for my undergraduate degree then moved to Philadelphia for an ABSN program, which I graduated from in September, then got my license endorsed from PA to CA shortly after in October.

Best of luck to everyone!

Hey @Mursthetics can you possibly also send me more info on how you managed to endorse over to CA so quickly!! Originally from CA, but in an ABSN program in Maine and will graduate in May. I will be taking the NCLEX here in Maine hopefully in mid-June so that I don't have to wait as long to sit for the exam. However, everything I see says it will still take 2-3 months to endorse over.. so I'm very curious in the process you went through! Any advice is appreciated ? Planning on applying for the UC Davis residency program application period that opens in May!

Hey! Has anyone who interviewed and sent in references for the new grad ICU float pool heard anything yet?

Thank you!
