UC Davis New Grad Residency 2019

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey fellow new grads!

Anyone else apply for the UCD new grad position that opened from Nov 21-28 for positions in Feb and April of 2019? Starting a thread to keep each other updated!

Good luck on the job hunt :)

Applied = Applications are being accepted but no review has taken place

Routed = The Recruiter has reviewed the applications and forwarded suitable candidates to the hiring manager for review

Interview = Candidates have been invited for interviews

Ready to Hire = A successful applicant has been selected for this position

Hire = Someone has been hired for this position

Did any of you hear back?

I talked to HR this morning and they said that everyone's status is changed to routed. Units hire based on preceptorship so they will call for interviews when the unit is ready to hire I guess? I know a few units have already called for interviews.

I got an invite to interview on 12/30, then interviewed 1/9 for South-1 (ER holds). I was supposed to hear back this Monday but nothing yet. App still says routed.

Has anyone heard from ICUs yet?

I did my preceptorship in the MICU but I'm not sure if that means only the MICU will contact me or if any of the ICUs are fair game.

I have my interview for NICU next week!

Did you apply for Feb or April start?

I didn't see anywhere on the application to indicate Feb or April start? I thought start date depended on which unit you'd be on.

Yeah, they just asked me at the interview which date I'd prefer to start on.

Do they have an OR/perioperative discipline for this residency?

I subscribe to UCDMC job postings for RNs. Some application periods are only open for one week. I sign up for email notifications of job postings at the hospitals that I want to work for. Example from UCDMC sent January 16, 2019:

"Here are the latest job postings that match your selection criteria:

Ref.# Posting Title

054255: RN-Midtown GI Lab

055030: OR Training Program - New Grad

055018: OR Training Program - CN II

055003: Medical Surgical ICU Nurse"

Did anyone get an interview for the float pool (patient care services)? Heard anything back from them regarding an offer?
