Hi all, today is officially the deadline for the August and October cohort start dates. I was surprised I didn't see a forum for this application cycle on all nurses yet so I figured I get it started.

Thank you for starting the thread! I applied last week and I'm very anxious/nervous to hear about the results although I know it won't be until after a few weeks from now

Has anyone heard anything about an interview?

Status changed to routed. At least that's something! Fingers crossed for all of us!
Fingers crossed! Does anyone know how many people they interview and how many are hired?
I just checked my account for the first time in a few weeks and saw "050-Route". No further updates as far as calls or emails, but at least some progress has been made!

Hello. I applied as well. Somebody told me that there are thousands of applicants for the nurse residency program at UC Davis everytime they have openings. He said that the first 500 applicants will be the priority. I applied on May 6, and apparently, it opened on May 2. I'm not expecting anymore. But I still pray that I can be interviewed - that would still be an achievement. My current status is 050-Route. Same thing as with others. Seems like that's a generic status for all applications since we don't really know who will be called for an interview. Praying, though.

Davis is different as they don't have a set # of positions per unit. Each unit decides individually on whether or not they have any vacancies, and then they decide on whether or not they need New Grads vs. RN's with established experience. For the last cohort, many units opted NOT to participate in the New Grad Residency program.
They also route your applicaiton to nurse managers based on where you precepted. Good luck everyone!
