Hey New Grads! I just wanted to start a post about the upcoming New Grad RN program at UC Davis. I thought it would be nice, and anxiety calming, to start a thread to share about the application process. I just finished my application. I was surprised there were no supplemental questions to fill out. Anyways, Good luck to everyone!
Oh yeah, Anyone else apply for previous cohorts? Maybe you could share some insight into the process. I'm hoping for a transplant position, I LOVE transplant nursing. I spent 2 rotations on a transplant unit in school in Colorado and LOVED it.

I actually think yours got forwarded because Oncology is hiring and I have a friend that works there have the manager look at my application BUT since I don't really have Oncology experience I was shot down. Best of luck to you!
bsnup13 did you get a call or email? I have oncology experience as well- just wondering if I should expect something, or if this means I didn't make the cut lol.
I'm thinking that they may be giving a list of units hiring in general ... just a guess. When I called the lady in nurse recruitment said she couldn't give the new grad units but I know other people got lists. I had hope for PICU but the manager said no new grads right now so I can't tell you why nurse recruitment would say they are. All I know is that at least for PICU I trust what that manager is saying. I can't speak for any other units. Hopefully the rest are hiring. Good Luck! I know I will need it.
I don't know mhmm you never know. The list is based on the units requesting new grads. There is much much contradiction. My friend said there so short in staff
Mine does too but when she talked to the manager she said no new grads at this point only CN II if they get desperate maybe new grads. I just wanted to give a fair warning to everyone else.
