UC Davis Medical Center RN Residency Summer 2013

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey New Grads! I just wanted to start a post about the upcoming New Grad RN program at UC Davis. I thought it would be nice, and anxiety calming, to start a thread to share about the application process. I just finished my application. I was surprised there were no supplemental questions to fill out. Anyways, Good luck to everyone!

Oh yeah, Anyone else apply for previous cohorts? Maybe you could share some insight into the process. I'm hoping for a transplant position, I LOVE transplant nursing. I spent 2 rotations on a transplant unit in school in Colorado and LOVED it.

That's good! :)

I'm worried since I did my preceptorship in the ED and haven't seen it listed as one of the hiring units...hoping that maybe my resume got routed to some of the critical care units! :/

Here's to hoping we get calls.............

YES!!!!! Has anyone received a call yet? Does anyone know what they are looking for? Because we all are new grads and we all have outside experience too. Yet that doesn't mean anything in today's market. It's easier if you know someone I hear.......any comments

I do believe that if you know someone it is easier to get in.

Been in contact with one of the managers and I've heard this over and over. They only forward your applications to the hiring units if you've precepted on that certain unit.

I precepted in peds at children's in oak. I don't know mhmm

Does anyone know whether our application is forwarded to one unit only? Or multiple units if we fit the unit managers' criteria?

I think one unit only
