Hey New Grads! I just wanted to start a post about the upcoming New Grad RN program at UC Davis. I thought it would be nice, and anxiety calming, to start a thread to share about the application process. I just finished my application. I was surprised there were no supplemental questions to fill out. Anyways, Good luck to everyone!
Oh yeah, Anyone else apply for previous cohorts? Maybe you could share some insight into the process. I'm hoping for a transplant position, I LOVE transplant nursing. I spent 2 rotations on a transplant unit in school in Colorado and LOVED it.
Hi jollybnurse, No I wasn't contacted for an interview... 3 people from nursing school were (for med-surg). My status is still showing as "routed" on the UC Davis site. That's why I was wondering if there were any other units starting interviews?
I think Charis was right about only getting a position in the same type unit that you did your preceptorship in. I got a call yesterday to interview for oncology; my choice of either in-person or phone. No other info AT ALL. Just a time and date (later this month). Good luck everyone!!

Congrats! Yeah I think I lost my chance at UCDMC because I don't think Tele is hiring and that's where I did mine
For those of you who received an interview already - first of all CONGRATS! - second of all, do you know if they are only interviewing on specific days? I've heard from some other people that there are only two possible days later this month as choices for interviews. Does anyone know how many people the managers at Davis typically interview for each position?
