  1. Yay! Congratulations! See you on the 21st!
  2. According to the 2009 link that someone posted, California only includes nurses and other medical professionals who are preforming emergency medical services on or off duty. The way it is worded it does not even include the ED as a whole; only if the situation is an emergency. It's a shame how these laws are worded. It is almost as if they gave the bare minimum to appease us. While we are trying to take care of everyone else- who is looking out for us?
  3. Congratulations ADEcstatic! Passing NCLEX is a huge accomplishment
  4. I sent you a PM with my email address!
  5. Except we are hungry dogs on a leash. They are just taking advantage of that. Instead of these hospitals treating us with respect and being professional, they are manipulating us... because they can. Because we all the need a job, and they can dangle the carrot in front of us. It's sad, but until the economy picks up, that's the way it's probably going to be- in California anyway.
  6. I had 2 semesters of oncology experience, a referral, and went through the 3rd round hiring stage for the last cohort. My status now says "not selected." Didn't even get a shot this time...
  7. Hi everybody! Just found out that I passed NCLEX and I'm SUPER EXCITED! I did not tell my parents when I was taking it, and want to surprise them with the news. I know, I'm really cheesy. I was hoping to get some ideas on what I could do. Personal stories, or ideas would be appreciated :) I thought about sending them an anonymous card in the mail saying "So your daughter's a nurse... and then open it and say "No she really is." And have my name and title on it. Or bake a cake and serve it with "I PASSED" on the frosting. What do you think?
  8. Congratulations to all who got hired! I hope to see you in October! Don't forget me, because I would loooove a a good reference lol :)
  9. Yeah I mean application status. And it stayed the same "on file, in process." What floor did you interview with? I was told we wouldn't hear anything until next Friday about offers, because they are still interviewing people.
  10. Did anyone else's update just change today? I was told we aren't supposed to find out until next Friday if we get hired... getting anxious!
  11. Has anyone heard back or gotten an interview?
  12. Congratulations! When is your interview?
  13. I'm going to assume that almost everyone there turned in an application to each manager. I don't think we will hear anything until next week; but hopefully we all get good responses!
  14. 3 more days! I'm kinda freaking out
  15. bsnup13 did you get a call or email? I have oncology experience as well- just wondering if I should expect something, or if this means I didn't make the cut lol.
