UBC 2021

Hiya folks!

It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.

Is anyone else already excited for next September?

Thank you klim! And how many people are accepted into the program? Around 120 or something?? Sorry this is my first time applying so I'm not familiar

Yes, I believe it is around 120 people who get accepted into the first cohort.

Hey there! I believe it will take a few days for cwl to update the status of acceptance as mine is the same as before, too! And yeah, I also don't see ranking in my acceptance letter so I am assuming that ranking is only to help applicants to improve their status for the future.

Mine updated at some point today. I received another email first indicating that I'm now able to accept the offer in SSC. They are probably working through the list so don't worry - it can take up to 10 days after receiving your first email/letter of offer. ?

Congratulations everyone on your acceptances!! How EXCITING, especially during such a tough time. You all worked so hard and finally got this far! To those who didn’t get in — you’re still amazing ? Keep up the good work!
 

I just graduated from the program this May! If any of you have questions, let me know! You can also find UBC Nursing cohorts on facebook! The Nursing 2020 Class also started Term 3/5 - we were all in your shoes before. Best of luck!! You’ll be spectacular nurses ?

I found out on April 30th that I was accepted into UBC Nursing Accelerated Program! Hopefully this week everyone starts finding out :)

Congrats on your graduation! Can I ask you what your plans are now that you have graduated? Do you take the NCLEX now? Can you apply for jobs, or do you need to pass the NCLEX first?

I’m just looking at the thread and it seems a lot of people got their notice from UBC (waitlisted/accepted) on May 1. Congrats to everyone!
 

My SSC looks exactly the same as it always has ever since I applied in January (no scores, updates, etc.). I didn’t get a wait list notification either so does that mean I didn’t make it onto the wait list (which means I should be expecting a rejection notice in a couple days)?  Also does anyone know when they start sending out rejection notices?

Apparently it takes up to 10 days for the SSC to update. Perhaps check your spam inbox—I've actually seen someone find their email there!
