UBC nursing application 2011

Hello,

I'm new to the site and I saw the thread for last years appilcants to UBC nursing so I thought I would start one for this year.

How is the application going for everyone, any tips from 2010 intake?

Laine21- I haven't got mine either.. don't give up, we still got Monday left. They haven't finished sending them out yet. Shes off tomorrow so the rest she will sending them out on Monday!! Remember "Law of attraction" don't attract the negative thoughts. At least not till tuesday :p

I'm still waiting to hear from them too. It's hard to bring myself to even step away from my computer at this point, and the fact that it's my day off today and I don't really have anything pressing to do is making it even harder! But as much as we want to remain within distance of the refresh button, this can't be healthy, so I think it's time to hit the gym or something!

Hi all, I am currently waiting for a reply as well... trying not to get discouraged but it will be tough waiting it out until Monday! I am staying positive that the order interviews are being sent out is at random. I have heard a lot about UBC wanting a more "mature" student base, and as a second year student this definitely worries me. For those of you that have received interviews, have you already completed a degree?

Hello all,

This is my first post here on All nurses. I have been following this forum religiously this past week. I was heart broken yesterday as I received a rejection letter from BCIT. Seeing how I was not offered an interview from BCIT, and that I was not contacted by UBC, I really doubted a chance. However! I received an interview invitation from UBC SON this morning at about 10am! My interview is scheduled on my birthday - April 13th!

And to answer the questions above, yes I am a UBC student, near completion of my second year.

I have a degree from UBC but I am not currently a UBC student.

Nope, I graduated from UVIC in 2010 with a B.Sc. in Psychology. How about you?
