UBC BSN September 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi Everyone!

I've been searching for a thread for applicants to UBC's BScN program for September 2017, but I haven't found one. Please feel free to point me in the direction of an existing thread, or add to this one! I'm applying to UBC, U of T, and UWO for September, but UBC is definitely my first choice. Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

:)

Is everyone on this thread from Vancouver? Or is anyone potentially moving to Vancouver from another city if they get accepted to the program? :)

I am from Calgary, so I will be moving if I get accepted!

Hi Everyone,

I also applied to the 2017 intake. I took the casper last week. Now I am anxious as the long wait begins. I feel my supplemental application is strong. My GPA is kind of on the low side. I also had a rough time during my BA. I have been a Care Aide for 7 years though. And have worked in many different settings. Well good look everyone. I hope we all get in. The waiting is the hardest part....😞. The casper was intense.....

I am from Vancouver.

I wish we knew just how long the wait would be! Last year, it looked like people found in early April, soon after the interviews. Now that there won't be any interviews, and the CASPer has to be taken by the end of February, here's hoping we find out in March!

Do you have any advice about preparing for the CASPer (without breaching the confidentiality agreement of course)? Thanks!

Last year we found out May 5th.

@bcastle Oh I must have confused UBC with one of the Ontario schools. When were the interviews?

Hey guys! I was just wondering from anyone who has already taken CASPer, if the practice questions on their website are an accurate representation of what will be on the real test? They all appear to be ethically based questions, from the perspective of a physician. They can be found here. Sample CASPer Questions to Practice for McMaster, uOttawa,..

Thank you!!

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know when we find out if we get accepted or not? I'm super antsy...

No clue. The website isn't updated with the new application process. :(

Hi Everyone!

I'm a second time applicant and I'm currently in Ontario; but if I get accepted, I'll be permanently moving to B.C.! I haven't taken CASPer yet and I'm just as nervous as everyone else about everything lol. :p XD

It's ethical scenarios. So if you're in the health field I'd suggest looking at policies and procedures of your work place. Or ask friends who are nurses for policies and procedures. They're carry over to any type of scenerio and it just gives you an advantage
