UBC BSN September 2017

Hi Everyone!

I've been searching for a thread for applicants to UBC's BScN program for September 2017, but I haven't found one. Please feel free to point me in the direction of an existing thread, or add to this one! I'm applying to UBC, U of T, and UWO for September, but UBC is definitely my first choice. Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

I wish they could give us a "you wont hear before this date" date. It would help so much with the anxiety.

Initially, I had heard that we could expect answers between mid and late April. Now that we've passed mid April, I have a feeling that we may have to wait until next week. If this is the case, I wish they would have put "Applicants can expect to receive an answer near the end of April" so that we weren't checking so often. Either way, we've waited so many months... we can do this!

@tdmah, just about to write my last final of undergrad! The nervousness is pilling up! Will have to keep myself occupied the rest of the time we all wait for these replies. How are you keeping busy?

Good luck! Nothing beats the feeling of walking out of the last final of your undergrad! Except maybe receiving an acceptance letter to your dream school ;)

I'm studying A&P, getting ready to foster a dog, and checking my emails far too often haha!

I have to reserve certain times of the day to check emails. Or I'd be checking every minute

@to-be-nurse, good luck with your final! It feels great after finishing the last exam of the undergrad.

For me, I keep thinking that 'I might get letter today', which might not be true and makes me nervous and anxious the whole day. I think it's worse now that I'm done with my pre-requisite course and literally just waiting for the letter. If we don't hear today or tomorrow, at least we know for sure we will hear next week!

@to-be-nurse good luck with your final. I am in the last few weeks of my semester. our Summer semester started early. I have five weeks. I cannot wait to be done! I hope you celebrate tonight.

Yes if we make it to tomorrow with no news at least there is comfort that next week we will hear! hang in there everyone

Im not sure if I'm more nervous about not getting the letter, or getting the letter and it being bad news.

Either way, another week of waiting seems unbearable

@ceg7245 I won't say don't be nervous because this is the final days of the wait and I don't know how to NOT be nervous myself. But I will say this I have had 2 rejection letters so far and they were tough to swallow, but I am okay. I know the reasons why I did not get in to those schools and have goals to work on for the next year if I don't get in anywhere. I know that I tried my best and I am very proud of the goals I have accomplished this year. And as amazing and life altering as getting in would be to UBC. If I don't get in I am truly grateful for this journey and what it has taught me about myself. And I know that NO does not mean forever it just means NOT YET. So be encouraged and remember we are all here for you!
