UBC BSN September 2019 Applicants

Hi everybody! I haven't found an active discussion thread for September 2019 applicants to UBC's BSN program yet, so here is one!

I’ve distanced myself from the thread in the past week so as to not go stir-crazy by checking SSC all the time or else I’ll get anxious constantly ? But omg!!! Well, good luck to all of us!! Unless I’m wrong, I’ve been told they can keep sending out admissions up until June? I really hope we get a decision earlier!

Sitting on my laptop just refreshing & refreshing my email/SSC... I got a notification for your post and I initially thought someone was going to say they heard back from UBC!! I'm going crazy lol

same LOL. I keep just staring at my clock and checking my notifications.

I keep going back and forth between thinking I have zero chance to thinking that there is a glimmer of hope!

Saaaaaame. Sometimes I convince myself that I'll make it, but other times I'm just like okay so let's come up with a back up plan :( I was looking at previous forums and people with 86% or high 80s got rejected so that wiped out my hope

Exactly!! And some of the applicants in this thread have some amazing, outstanding profiles!

Based on someone else's post earlier in this thread, we are apparently ranked on a scale from 1-4 (with 1 being the top 25% and 4 being the lowest 25%) on the following categories: grades, supplemental, and CASPer.

I'm just curious, how would you rank yourselves based on the applicant profiles you've read here?

Based on what i've read, I feel like I could possibly rank as: grades 3 (?) (GPA = 3.95 on the 4.33 scale if they include my A&P II that I finished in January), supplemental 2/3??, CASPer 4 (really feel like I bombed this one)

Not sure if doing this will make you feel better or worse lol but i'm just trying to pass the time ?

So glad I'm not the only one who's having serious self doubt! Sometimes I'll think I have a shot, but then I start to second guess so hard, plus I'm in the middle of midterms!!

I think my grades would be a 2, I have a 4.2/4.33 GPA, supplemental, 2-3, and CASPer maybe a 2-3? Dont know if that makes me feel good or not haha
