  1. All UBC BSN students take the same courses, you can't choose specific courses or times. So yeah, you just have to register yourself in the standard schedule. The times listed for the STT are also not 100% accurate apparently. We will have more information on our actual schedule closer to the beginning of the semester.
  2. Usually at UBC, they collect term 2 payments closer to term 2. It should be the same for this program?
  3. It's very easy! Log-in to SSC, hover over "Registration", click "Standard Timetables", click the "Program" tab and register yourself in the BSN program. On the page where it lists the different standard timetable programs, select BSN, and register yourself into the Year 3 standard timetable. To make sure you have correctly registered, hover over the "registration" tab and click timetable.
  4. sameeeeeee!!!!! i'm SO excited. Have fun everyone that ends up going to the meetup tomorrow!
  5. Thank you!!!!!! Thanks for all your support along the way ? I think so!! I have heard some pretty convincing arguements on why I should go to BCIT instead, but I still have such a strong desire for UBC‘s program!
  6. Since I just got the news yesterday, I’m still waiting for my SSC to update so I can accept! So I probably won’t get the registration email for some time (not that it matters bc we are all registering for the same timetable?). But I’m just curious, when are your registration dates??
  7. Thank you!! That sure is some great progress already!! Good luck!!!!!!
  8. Thanks!! ? ? I am pretty sure!! (99% sure, to be exact ?)
  9. I just got the news: i'm in!!!! ? For future applicants who are reading this forum, I was number 7 on the reserve list!
  10. Okay, good to know! I'm happy to hear something good about UBC grads finally haha! I'm sure that there are good ones out there, but it's just the stories about unprepared students that unfortunately seem to get spread around the most Thank you for your input, again. I appreciate it!!
  11. Thanks for the input! Yes, I should be hearing back in the next two weeks or so (I hope)! Wow, our situations are pretty similar!! My commute times to UBC and BCIT are exactly the same as yours, and I also have two close sources that are registered nurses, which I think is a huge advantage in helping us transition from school to work. The main appeal is absolutely that it is 20 months v.s. 3 years. I have heard from quite a few sources, however, that UBC students are not prepared for clinicals at all, and that they haven't really been taught how to properly think critically as a nurse, which is the most important thing that we will learn from nursing school. This is where BCIT's program seems to be more appealing, as their program is very thorough. Have your mom and brother had any experiences with interacting with UBC grads in the workplace?
  12. I am still waiting to hear back about the waitlist. However, I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there who is trying to decide between BCIT and UBC! Let me know ?
  13. Hey guys! There may be some who have been accepted that are waiting to get in off the waitlist for UBC. Waitlisted applicants for UBC are supposed to hear back mid-June, so there may be more who turn down BCIT offers around that time, opening more spots off the waitlist.
  14. Okay, good to know, thank you! June 15th is so far from now... it's hard to be patient!
  15. That sounds like a good idea, i've been planning to send Ruxandra an email next week. Please let me know what you find out when she gets back to you! ?
