For anyone who has applied to the UAMS BSN program that begins in Summer 2014 or anyone who is currently in and/or has completed the program. I have applied and am currently going through the process. UAMS has contacted me for an interview next week. Does anyone have any insight on this? Or those who wish to just discuss the program or wait out the acceptance process feel free to join in.
That's Great Happygirl! Let us know when you get your letterI am getting my physical done first and sending everything in together. I have already applied for the Pell grant and it will not cover everything but I also get the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship so that will help out & everything after that I will be paying out of pocket for. I am trying to get through it without student loans.
I think we are in a similar boat! I also got the Arkansas Challenge scholarship and the remainder of my tuition will be covered with my GI Bill. I don't want any school loans at all!
I submitted the money order, physical, and the other forms today. Thank god that's over with...now to make it to May 28th......lol!

It's been a few days since I've checked in here. Now I wish I hadn't, since I haven't gotten a letter. However, no news is good news so I'm staying positive. I did want to let others in the same boat know that someone else is still waiting for news. Congrats to those already chosen, and good luck to the rest of us. Maybe it's an alphabetical thing.
RNBound, thank you for the positive nudge. I think it's too early for the majority of us to have any kind of notification. I haven't anticipated anything this much since I was "a nappy-headed child wondering what for Christmas would be my toy"(song lyrics). Therefore, knowing "Santa" has already visited others raises the anticipation exponentially! When you hear a wa-hoo reverberating across the Arkansas sky, you' know I was accepted.

future_RN17, I submitted my app in January and interviewed in February. I was told at that time that it would be 6 weeks or so before I'd be notified, so I'm good. I'm sure they screen very carefully to ensure a group of great students is selected. All that being said, I'm still anxious to get the good news.
Oh yeah I wouldn't be too worried girl you def have time! And I applied back in Nov, and got my acceptance letter with people who had literally applied just before interviews! Don't worry I'm sure you will get your letter soon! What was your gpa, teas v score (if you don't mind me asking)
