  1. Thanks!! @rn2be15 @belljar1995 do you mind telling me what time of the year this happened for you? I'm trying to figure out if this is the same time so I'll know to expect longer, shorter, or about the same time frame. Thanks!!
  2. Hi all, I'm hoping someone can shed some light! I recently passed my NCLEX after verifying through Pearson Vue Quick Results. I'm wondering if any recent new grads (2016-2015) could shed some light on about how long after taking your NCLEX did it take the board to post your license number or their website AND how long it took to get your actually license in the mail? This waiting game is almost as bad as the two days it took to know my results via PearsonVue... thanks for any help!
  3. Does anyone have any advice for people who have to come out-of-state to attend this event? Did you feel it was worth it in the end? Did you come from out-of-state for the meet and greet and then also have to come back again for separate interviews? Any advice would be extremely helpful! I was invited but I'm trying to decide if it will be worth the really expensive plane ticket cost!

  5. I agree about the study groups! I definitely study better in groups.
  6. I'm definitely more excited than nervous; however, I'm probably more nervous about little things. For example, I've never worked in a hospital setting so the first time I see a really bad open wound or something that looks really, for lack of a better term right now, disgusting I don't want to be the person who vomits or gets sick from the sight. I'm hoping this is just my imagination and it won't be that extreme but for some reason I thinking I'll be the ONE person who can't handle it like a professional. Besides that I'm okay I think. Does anyone know how the financial aid/tuition payments will work? Will our tuition be automatically withdrawn from our financial aid award and THEN we get a refund or do we get the award payment sent to our account and then we pay our tuition. It's so confusing because they say our deadline to pay is May 28th but I haven't received my award into my account.
  7. Have you done the background check/drug test yet? If so, how long did it take to get back your results? I was planning on getting it done on the 21st since I've already taken off work for the orientation. Then that would give it a week to get there by the 28th. That's probably cutting it a little close so I'll probably do it on the 19th. I was thinking we probably won't be able to register until Orientation but maybe they'll have everything in order before then.
  8. I haven't. I went out and bought a bunch of stuff I don't necessarily need RIGHT NOW (stethoscope, books, etc...) and then realized I actually still need some money to pay my bills this month..lol. I'll be waiting until the last minute now. When is it REQUIRED to be complete by?
  9. Check your emails!! I got my acceptance email today for the Accelerated Program. I think I'm going to decline for UAMS.
  10. UAMS will actually offer certification in May: College of Nursing – BLS Course Schedule OR You could go the American Heart Association route: Just make sure you register for BLS FOR HEATHCARE PROVIDERS Class Connector Training Information- American Heart Association
  11. Thanks so much for this! It's great that they've already placed this up. Looks like it's going to be a busy summer!
  12. I think I read an earlier post about there being only 120 accepted. An applicant that interviewed asked their interviewee if I remember correctly. That number may have changed tho since so many people applied. I'm hoping for a smaller class.
  13. I'll definitely be attending! I read it was optional but strongly recommended.
  14. I thought waiting to be accepted was annoying. I never realized how agonizing waiting for actual school to start would be! I'm SO ready for the program to start. Hmph... 3 more months
  15. No problem. I'm sure you'll probably qualify for more scholarships than just that one too!
