For anyone who has applied to the UAMS BSN program that begins in Summer 2014 or anyone who is currently in and/or has completed the program. I have applied and am currently going through the process. UAMS has contacted me for an interview next week. Does anyone have any insight on this? Or those who wish to just discuss the program or wait out the acceptance process feel free to join in.
I filled out the scholarship application on the website and also completed my FASFA. I haven't done anything else or heard to do anything else!Who all is going to attend orientation ? I heard or maybe I read that it was optional?
I'll definitely be attending! I read it was optional but strongly recommended.
I am currently taking statistics this semester then I will be done. They conditionally accepted me and you will fully accepted once you get your transcripts to them that show you successfully completed the deficient credits with at least a C.I heard also that 400 people applied but only 200 are being accepted 100 from each wave. Has anyone else heard that?
I think I read an earlier post about there being only 120 accepted. An applicant that interviewed asked their interviewee if I remember correctly.
That number may have changed tho since so many people applied. I'm hoping for a smaller class.
Hey guys the summer schedules are up, you can find them at: College of Nursing - Summer 2014 BSN, MNSc & DNP Course Schedule
Thanks so much for this!
It's great that they've already placed this up. Looks like it's going to be a busy summer!
UAMS will actually offer certification in May:

OR
You could go the American Heart Association route:
Just make sure you register for BLS FOR HEATHCARE PROVIDERS
Class Connector Training Information- American Heart Association
So I talked to Jenny today about the book lists and she said the one up was for last year and to look for the new list around mid April!
She said they don't update everything until all applicants have been admitted which will be another 4-6 weeks.
Just FYI for all in the same boat as me!

Does anyone here still need their CPR certification? Or does anyone have information on where to take a class to get certified? Also, does anyone know if we need to go to the Financial Aid office to fill out any forms?
